I was thinking the other day to an interesting destination and not too far for a weekend luxury ambience, where I could make beautiful historic walks and live within a day just like a movie. In doing my research, I started to pay close attention to the city of Monte Carlo. This is typically the place we hear about a thousand times but where we never think to go. I imagine that a weekend is enough for my budget because the city is made for people with a generous scholarship. I would begin my visit when I went into the city center, and to escape the atmosphere overrated I go for a walk in the Market Hall Condamine. Aged 130 years, it is the ideal place to stock up on local specialties shared with the region Niçoise like barbagiuans (pies stuffed with chard, spinach or squash), socca (a large thin patty base chickpea flour), the onion tart (kind of pizza with lots of onions and some sort of anchovy cream) ... by reaching the ear, I could get an idea of the Monegasque language.
Monte Carlo is filled with beautiful gardens, including the Japanese garden.
